2. POSTPONEMENT OF ADEOS SERIES RESEARCH ANNOUNCEMENT 1997

As reported in the previous ADEOS Newsletter, we are now preparing to publish a Research Announcement (RA) for ADEOS and ADEOS-II, provisionally titled "ADEOS Series Research Announcement 1997 (ADEOS Series RA 97).
" We had planned to issue the RA in February 1997, but we must postpone issuing it until May 1997 due to unavoidable circumstances.
We hope that this will not inconvenience you.
The tentative schedule for the ADEOS Series RA 97 is as follows:
(1) RA Issue: May 15, 1997
This ADEOS Series RA 97 will be issued using printed materials and electrical media which will be available on the EORC ADEOS Home Page.
(2) Proposal Deadline: September 15, 1997
(3) Proposal Selection: November 15, 1997
(4) Research Start: April 1998
(5) Research Review: September 1999
