We reprocessed files of GMI SST version 3 standard product from 10 May 2017 to present due to problem in ancillary data used in previous processing. All affected files (L2 and L3) have been replaced with new file version. There are biases about -0.25 - +0.25 degree C in new data compared to old data. RMSE and bias of updated GMI SST are 0.56 and 0.034 degree C, respectively, during 4 March 2014 to 5 May 2019 compared to in-situ SST (iQuam buoy version 2.1).
Also, WindSat SST version 8 products from 1 April 2009 to 2 August 2011 were removed from the sever. Those products were processed by mistake and should not be distributed.
We are sorry for the inconvenience.

JAXA provides near-real-time data Sea Surface Temperature (SST) retrievals from several passive microwave imagers as a contribution to the Group for High Resolution SST (GHRSST).
Those SST products are produced at Earth Observation Research Center (EORC) of Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA).
All SST products are in GDS format defined by GHRSST, and available as L2P (swath grid) and L3C (daily grid) products.

To see near-real-time browse image, please go to "NRT Monitor".
