The second meeting of PIs under the ESCAP-JAXA RA Program was held at the
United Nations Conference Centre, Bangkok, from 12 to 14 May 1998.
The program's mid-term report was presented. Twenty three PIs including 4 CIs
from 14 countries attended and presented their reports at the sessions.

Before the sessions, ESCAP reviewed the project implementation, then JAXA
gave brief technical lectures on ADEOS data and a profile of the future
science programs of JAXA to the PIs.

Reports were made in categories of the field of study.
